If you’re a new VZW customer, or even an existing VZW customer looking to upgrade your phone, Amazon has a $300 phone for you that it is currently selling for $149. Amazon has lowered the price of the HTC Rezound to $149, thus making it an attractive offer to those of you looking for a new, relatively state-of-the-art smartphone, who are also on a tight budget. Those of you who are HTC fans who are worried about HTC’s future in the US after the ITC ruling might want to jump on this deal as well.
For me, however, this phone offers too little too late. Yes, the HTC Rezound comes with Beats by Dr. Dre headphones that are valued at roughly $100. However, when I tested this device at Best Buy, I found it to be unusually slow and buggy for a phone with such impressive specs (1.5ghz processor and 1gb of RAM). Additionally, Amazon has been selling the newly released Android Ice Cream Sandwich device, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, for $179 (however, as of now, they are back ordered). Sites like Let’s Talk have been selling the Galaxy Nexus for as low as $149. With low prices like that for an ICS device, I don’t see how the Rezound can compete.
If after taking all of the above mentioned information into consideration, you are still interested in purchasing the HTC Rezound, click here to be taken to Amazon’s Wireless store.
